Hello. Hola. Bonjour.

Hi there! I am Mariah- the sassy gal behind the lens. I am a mama to two wild things, Jaxton and Tinsley Everleigh-Grace (the inspiration behind the name Everly Jae). I am also a bonus-mama to two more, our AUSOME Tucker and Izzy. (All of my photography investment packages are named after my babes!)

I’m a New York City native. I spent six years studying in New England and attended college in Los Angeles, where I studied languages and education. Languages are extremely important to me because I see them as a way to connect to others around me. I spent one year back in NYC before meeting and marrying my husband. We married in 2015 and I joined him in North Carolina while he was stationed aboard Camp Lejeune in the United States Marine Corps. We've since decided to permanently call Jacksonville, NC home.

I grew up with a grandfather who was a professional wedding photographer in New York City. He used to develop his own film in one of the closets of their apartment. I've always been fascinated with photographs and I've pretty much had a camera in my hands ever since I could hold one on my own. My favorites over the years were my 'firsts' including my Hello Kitty film camera, my Polaroid camera (which I still have to this day), my GoPros, my first DSLR Canon Rebel T3 , and now my Canon 6D Mark II.

Photography has always been a passion of mine - seriously, I was voted to be the Historian of our sorority because I was ALWAYS taking pictures - but having two wild things of my own, I found myself reaching for my camera more and more to document the memories of all the little things. In 2021 my husband and I fought for and were awarded full custody of my bonus babes. It has been amazing to capture all of their milestones as well! Each year I do an Autism Acceptance Project to garner awareness and acceptance for those on the spectrum. This is all done in honor of my babe Tucker, who is autistic and nonverbal. We celebrate the entire month of April and highlight the achievements and stories of other Autistic individuals in our community.

As a photographer and human being, I am always learning and believe each person I work with brings a fresh new perspective. I have been blessed beyond measure, that talented photographers have taken time out of their schedules to work with me and help me along in my journey as a photographer.

Simply put, I am a Jesus-loving mama and veteran-spouse who thrives on creating! To be able to be a part of your special occasions, whether through capturing your special moments, or making a t-shirt to celebrate an important milestone, fills my cup and makes this all worthwhile for me! It’s a true blessing to be able to do what I love each day whilst supporting my family. This is all made possible because of YOU! THANK YOU for being here - I can't wait to capture YOUR story!
